Ladies Not Allowed Views

In several articles, much like the one here: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/kevin-keegan-comments-women-england-ladies-b2424218.html a backlash of comments from females in football are angry about what has been said by Kevin Keegan that he cant stand women talking about the men’s game.

Keegan, who played for England in the 70’s and managed clubs later on, has been backed by Joey Barton. The actual problem that he stated is with female pundits giving their opinions on men’s football.

From some of the comments it appears that he does not enjoy women expressing how they would have done some skill or play in the game, when the female pundits are looking at key moments from the males performance.
He does say he is a fan of the ladies game but it seems unfair that he is criticising how the ex pro commentators approach the game chats in half time, after full game or even in interviews.

It now feels that the real issue is that maybe he is fearful of how good the ladies game is and that it has made him jealous to an extent.
Woman can have their place in sport as much as anybody else. Having women on a panel for a tennis match or a tv game show would be exactly the same. They have earned their place to be there and to show their skills in whatever capacity.

Finding the right balance of opinion and how this is portrayed is important too as you would expect. For years there has been an imbalance of representation of female input in football and this is only just being realised!
More should be done to get women involved with the punditry and maybe that will be a key factor in seeing more girls into playing and becoming sports coaches as they can see someone that has passion and a talent to where they want to get to.
