It’s Our Game Too

Football is a game for everyone: Young, Old, Rich, Poor….. Even GIRLS!

Her Game Too was founded to get more girls to connect to sport and to try and banish the myth that football is a men’s only game.
Too many women face abuse in football and this is an attempt at making it easier to be able to go to a game or play without criticism.

There is still a lot to be done but many teams do have a ladies side, and there are even recreational ladies teams that help the cause.
For example Solent Sports have dedicated ladies nights – in Southampton. Solent Sports are linked to charities that promote good mental health.
Look on FA’s Women’s and girl’s football site if you feel ready to find a club or session to play at.

Both male and female mental health is very important in sport and it can be very intimidating to go out to watch live games if you fear being discriminated against.
Nobody should feel they are not able to go out and have a good time – This is also the case for disabled fans and players. Please think before you talk to others at sports games and if you are interested in backing the cause then get in touch with Her Game Too.
