Football Season is Back

Football is back! Did it ever leave?

The end of last season in the Premiership was hot – with Southampton dropping down for the first time since the 2004-05 season. Everton were clever to avoid the drop at last minute.
Leicester City and Leeds also fell out of the Premiership and hope to regain their spot for the 24/25 season.
Luton have succeeded to the Premiership to fans amazement – They hopefully have a ground good enough for the league, with one entrance under a row of terrace houses which is sure an exciting talking point for all the new visitors they may be getting!
Burnley and Sheffield United take up the other two promotion spots to the Premiership.

Reading FC dropped out of the Championship with Blackpool and Wigan also not surviving. In their place to the Championship goes Plymouth, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday.

Portsmouth have stayed in League 1 with the hopes that this may be the lucky season they rise out. They will play against Leyton Orient, Stevenage, Northampton and Carlisle who were promoted to the league. Down went Forest Green Rovers, Accrington Stanley, Milton Keynes Dons and Morecambe to League 2.

Wrexham have a lot to do in coming up to modern day League 2 for the first time after their triumph winning the National League Premiership. Rob and Ryan certainly did their homework to make sure that they had the right people at their club!
They are joined by Notts County.
Relegations to the National League from League 2 were Rochdale and Hartlepool. Let’s hope they come back to the football league soon!

Teams to watch out for this year : Premiership: Arsenal, Championship: Sunderland, League 1: Portsmouth, League 2: Salford City
